Do I have to stop using JobTread?
No. We work alongside the software you already run, and we never ask you to switch platforms. JobTread keeps doing what it does, and we build the steps that happen outside it.
FOR BUILDERS AND REMODELERS
A built-in automation runs inside the app it comes with and starts from that app's own menu of triggers. The client's email, the text thread with your sub, the voice memo you left in the truck and your calendar all live somewhere else, and that's where we build.
This isn't a choice between the two. Keep what you like about the app. The difference is where each one can reach.
| Built-in automations | Oak City Intelligence | |
|---|---|---|
| Where it runs | Inside the app, on the records that live there. | Across your email, phone number, calendar, text threads and QuickBooks, alongside JobTread. |
| What starts it | A trigger you pick from the app's own menu. | Whatever starts the work in your day, like a client email, a text, or a voice memo from the truck. |
| Voice memos | A memo recorded on site sits on your phone until someone types it up. | We turn the memo into filed items with next steps, like a task, a client update or a bill to chase. |
| Text threads | A text thread with a sub or a client lives on your phone, outside the app. | A change agreed by text becomes a draft change order waiting for your approval. |
If the work you want automated starts and ends inside JobTread, use what's built in. It lives where your team already works, and there's no one else to bring in. We're the better fit when the job crosses into your inbox, your texts, your calendar or QuickBooks, and you're the one carrying it across.

You talk through what you saw on the walkthrough, and it becomes filed items with next steps: a change order to review, a client update to send, a bill to chase. You review and approve what matters before it goes out.
In accounts you already own, like your email, your calendar and QuickBooks. The AI step runs on your own AI subscription, so that provider sees what it works on, and the account is yours. We don't move your records into a platform of our own.
